Is 1000x magnification real—and what can I see with it?
MicroVista Nova offers up to 1000x magnification for close observation. It’s great for coins, stamps, plant details, fabric weave, small components, and surface inspection. Your sharpness depends on steady positioning and using the manual focus to dial it in.
Can I take photos and record video?
Yes. MicroVista Nova captures still images in JPG format and records video in AVI format—ideal for documenting projects or sharing what you’re seeing.
How much can it store without a computer?
It includes 32MB of internal storage, which holds roughly 200 photos depending on image complexity. For longer sessions, you can transfer files to your computer.
Does it work with my computer?
MicroVista Nova is compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10/11 and Mac OS 11.0+. Use the included USB cable to connect and charge.
How long does the battery last? How do I charge it?
The 600mAh battery provides about 2 hours of continuous use. Charging takes around 2 hours via USB (cable included).
Is it difficult to focus or use the lighting?
It’s designed to be straightforward: use the manual focus wheel to sharpen your subject and rely on the 8 built-in LEDs to brighten low-light details. After a minute of use, it becomes second nature.
